Lemon lovers, this is your jam !
Lemon curd is a very rich dessert topping or spread. You can add it on your fav yogurt, muesli, use it to make a Lemon Meringue Tart or even eat from the spoon.
It’s buttery and sweet with intense tart lemon flavour– like a creamy lemon version of jam. Lemon curd is made from simple ingredients and comes together quickly on the stove.
Good news, It's very easy to make! Make some jars as gifts :)
You can even use orange or lime zest and juice to change the flavour
Whisk the eggs with sugar. Add lemon juice and zest. Place in a sauce pan. Stir the mixture often until it thickens. Add the butter.
Strain the mixture if you want it extra smooth.
Transfer to a shallow dish. Cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from developing. Chill for at least one hour.
